Roles and Responsibilities:

• Complete respiratory assessments and provide prescribed therapies timely and age-specifically.
• Evaluate and document respiratory therapy results accurately.
• Set up, monitor, and maintain mechanical ventilation.
• Communicate with physicians and nursing staff about patient progress and recommend therapy changes.
• Obtain and analyze blood gas specimens and perform skin testing accurately.
• Maintain equipment and documentation as required.
• Provide accurate patient and family education.
• Monitor staffing, work, and equipment room areas.
• Perform other duties as required or assigned.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Associate's Degree required.
• Certified or Registered Respiratory Therapist certification by the National Board of Respiratory Therapy.
• Current Massachusetts State License.
• BLS and NRP certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

• One year of experience preferred.
• Experience with Meditech and Microsoft Office preferred.
