Job Description: MRI Technologist

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated MRI Technologist to join our team. As an MRI Tech, you will be responsible for performing high-quality magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) procedures to assist in diagnosing and evaluating patients' medical conditions. You will work closely with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate imaging results while delivering excellent patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform MRI scans of various body parts, including the brain, spine, joints, and soft tissues, according to physician orders and established protocols.
  • Prepare patients for MRI procedures, ensuring their comfort, safety, and understanding of the process.
  • Operate MRI equipment, ensuring proper positioning, settings, and image quality for diagnostic purposes.
  • Administer contrast agents as required, following safety protocols and guidelines.
  • Monitor and assess patients during procedures to ensure their safety and well-being.
  • Document imaging results accurately in the electronic medical record system and ensure proper patient data confidentiality.
  • Maintain MRI equipment, performing regular checks and troubleshooting as needed to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Adhere to infection control, safety, and radiation safety protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
  • Stay current with advancements in MRI technology and procedures through continuing education and training.

Required Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
  • Certification in MRI from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or equivalent certification.
  • Current state licensure (if applicable).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow specific imaging protocols.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients, family members, and healthcare team members.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a clinical or hospital setting, preferably with MRI imaging experience.
  • Knowledge of advanced MRI techniques and the ability to work with cutting-edge MRI technology.
  • Certification in additional imaging modalities (e.g., CT or X-ray).
