Job Title: Radiographer / X-ray Tech
Location: Pensacola, FL
Available Shift:

  • Weekends Only Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Radiographer (X-ray Tech) to join our team. The Radiographer will perform a wide range of general radiology procedures, including portables, fluoroscopy, operating room, trauma, contrast studies, and DEXA bone densitometry in a digital/PACS environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for confirming orders, patient information, and exams, ensuring high-quality imaging, and adhering to safety standards related to radiation exposure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform a full range of general radiology procedures, including portables, fluoroscopy, trauma, contrast studies, operating room, and DEXA bone densitometry.
  • Operate x-ray equipment in both hospital/trauma and outpatient settings, ensuring safety and quality.
  • Confirm the correct order, patient, and exam before proceeding with imaging procedures.
  • Ensure quality imaging by adjusting technical factors and positioning for accurate results.
  • Adhere to radiation safety protocols, keeping exposure as low as reasonably achievable.
  • Verify patient demographics and use of lead markers before processing and releasing images.
  • Complete "Stat" procedures or special exam instructions accurately and promptly.
  • Adapt to schedule changes, including being on-call for procedures during holidays or shift changes.
  • Follow hospital policies and procedures and participate in the Quality Improvement process.
  • Uphold hospital standards of behavior and maintain a positive and supportive work environment.

Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
  • Current certification in Radiologic Technology (ARRT) and state licensure as required.
  • Ability to operate a variety of radiology equipment in both hospital and outpatient settings.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate patient and exam information.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols regarding radiation exposure and infection control.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
