As an MRI Technologist, you will:
- Perform high-quality MRI imaging procedures to meet physician specifications.
- Interact effectively with patients under physical or emotional stress, providing support and professionalism.
- Transfer and properly position patients to ensure optimal imaging results while adhering to safety standards.
- Provide necessary immobilization and protection during procedures.
- Maintain a positive and professional atmosphere for patients, physicians, and co-workers.
- Pull on-call duty on a rotational basis to ensure 24-hour coverage for MRI services.
Minimum Job Requirements for the MRI Tech
Education and Certification:
- ARRT registration required, with MRI specialization.
- Oregon licensure as a Certified Radiologic Technologist.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Skills and Experience:
- Demonstrated qualifications and experience sufficient to operate MRI equipment and evaluate imaging results.
- Strong interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, hospital staff, and physicians.
- Ability to lift and move patients (100-300lbs) as required for positioning and safety.
- Capacity to work independently while maintaining collaboration within a team environment.
