Job Responsibilities for the Ultrasound Tech/Sonographer:

• Preparing patients for exams, explaining procedures, and ensuring their safety and comfort
• Operating imaging equipment, reviewing images for quality, and identifying normal and abnormal results
• Recording patient medical histories, measurements, and calculations
• Communicating results to physicians or other health professionals
• Coordinating care with other departments within a hospital or clinic

Requirements for the Ultrasound Technologist/Sonographer:

• ARRT(R) Certified
• Associate's Degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography
• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS)
• Registered Vascular Technologist within one year of employment
