Our client around the Saratoga Springs, NY area is seeking a Certified or Board Eligible Medical Physicist to join their Radiology team. This leader will be responsible for leading the Radiology team that includes Dosimetrist and Techs for an Oncology Center!

Must have for Certified or Board Eligible Medical Physicist:
- Master of Science preferred
- 3 years of Physicist experience
- Certified or BE by the American Board of Radiology or ABMP
- Strong background and aptitude for quality assurance
- Age Competencies of Adults 16 years+
- Comfortable leading Dosimetrist and other oncology techs
Responsibility for Certified or Board Eligible Medical Physicist:
- Assist in the preparation, review, and processing of radiological materials use registrations and licenses
- Develops and coordinates special procedures such as brachytherapy, stereotactic radiosurgery, total body irradiation, SBRT, IGRT, IMRT, dynamic therapy, theraspheres
- Provides assistance to Radiation Oncologists and Medical Physicists in performing HDR and LDR brachytherapy procedures
- Function as the Radiation Safety Officer for PAMC and PIC, responsible for ensuring the safe use of radiation
- Use their knowledge of physics to improve medical equipment and technology in order to help diagnose and treat patients
