Responsibilities of the Mammography Tech:

• May include independent assignments, supervision of personnel, and instruction as determined by management.
• Ensuring proper patient care in accordance with departmental and hospital policies, practicing infection control, and maintaining patient confidentiality are essential components of this role.
• Proficiency in operating PACS, HIS, and RIS computer systems, as well as troubleshooting CR, DR, and PACS applications, is required.
• Attendance at annual mandatory education sessions and maintenance of departmental competencies are expected.

Minimum Requirements for the Mammo Tech position:

• Minimum of 2 years as a diagnostic technologist, with at least 1 year of experience specifically in mammography.
• Completion of a formal ACR-approved Radiologic Technology program for radiology and mammography.
• ARRT(RTR) - Registered Technologist Radiography.
• ARRT(M) - Mammography.
• CPR certification is required.
• MALIC(R)(M) - Massachusetts License in Radiography and Mammography
