Job Description
A mammography technologist, also known as a mammographer, performs diagnostic imaging of the breast to help detect breast cancer and other breast diseases:

Operate equipment
Use a mammography unit to take images of the breast. Adjust the density and contrast of the images to improve their quality.

Prepare patients
Explain the procedure to patients, position their breasts, and ensure they are comfortable.

Ensure safety
Follow radiation safety measures and use protection devices to keep patients and staff safe.

Evaluate images
Review the images to determine if they are suitable for diagnosis.
