Job Responsibilities of the CT Tech:

• Perform a wide variety of routine and advanced imaging procedures using cutting-edge computerized diagnostic imaging equipment.
• Support other imaging technologists as needed, maintaining flexibility to provide proper coverage.
• Start and maintain intravenous (IV) access and operate pressurized injection equipment.
• Evaluate patients for contrast use, ensuring there are no contraindications, and adhere to safety protocols.
• Adhere to established protocols, QA guidelines, and regulatory standards to ensure quality care and compliance.
• Interact with patients and care providers to prioritize procedures and maintain patient flow.
• Assist Radiologists in invasive and biopsy procedures using CT imaging to pinpoint anatomical locations.
• Ensure exam rooms are clean, stocked, and in compliance with Infection Control standards.
• Accurately code and enter charges for exams performed.
• Adapt patient care methods to meet the specific needs of patients of various ages, cultural backgrounds, and physical abilities.
• Perform all duties with a focus on patient confidentiality and adherence to core values of the organization.

Minimum Job Requirements for the CT Tech:

Education and Experience:

• Education: Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology or an accepted and approved equivalent program.
• Experience:
  • 1 year of experience in CT imaging within a hospital or clinical setting is required.
  • 3 years of experience in a clinical imaging setting is preferred.

Licenses and Certifications:

• ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification is required.
• ARRT Certification in CT is required.
• Current state licensure as a CT Technologist is required.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is required.
