Job Title: CT Technologist (CT Tech)

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated CT Technologist to join our imaging team. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for performing high-quality computed tomography (CT) scans for diagnostic purposes. The ideal candidate will have experience with CT imaging equipment, a strong understanding of patient care, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain CT imaging equipment to perform diagnostic scans on patients.
  • Prepare and position patients for CT procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Administer contrast media and other necessary medications as directed by physicians and according to safety protocols.
  • Review and analyze CT images to ensure high-quality results and communicate findings to radiologists and medical staff.
  • Follow radiation safety procedures, ensuring that all scans are performed in accordance with safety standards to minimize exposure.
  • Provide clear instructions to patients, explaining procedures, and addressing any concerns to ensure cooperation and comfort during the scans.
  • Ensure accurate patient information and documentation is recorded in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
  • Troubleshoot and perform routine maintenance on CT imaging equipment to ensure functionality and optimal performance.
  • Adhere to hospital policies and procedures, including infection control, patient privacy (HIPAA), and safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with other medical staff and radiologists to ensure smooth workflow and timely diagnostic results.

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology or related field from an accredited program.
  • Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography (R) and CT (CT) or equivalent certification.
  • Current state licensure (if applicable).
  • In-depth knowledge of CT imaging techniques and protocols.
  • Strong understanding of radiation safety and protection procedures.
  • Ability to provide exceptional patient care, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to analyze and evaluate imaging results.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working as a CT Technologist.
  • Advanced certifications in CT imaging or other specialized imaging techniques.
  • Experience in performing advanced CT imaging procedures (e.g., angiography, virtual colonoscopy, cardiac CT).
