Job Description

We are currently seeking a Licensed Psychologist for a locum tenens assignment in Austin, Texas. Coverage is needed as soon as credentialed and will be ongoing for at least 3+ months.

Details:

  • Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (in-person preferred)

  • Alternative Options: Telehealth may be considered

  • Patient Population: Adults and adolescents

  • EMR System: Cerner

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate 46B patients for Competency to Stand Trial and provide written reports for court and CWS Avatar

  • Evaluate 46C patients regarding risk for future violence and suitability for transition to less restrictive settings

  • Evaluate Chapter 55 patients for Fitness to Stand Trial, with documentation submitted in both letter and CWS Avatar report formats

  • May also include psychological testing and interpretation for adult and adolescent patients

Requirements:

  • Active and unrestricted Texas license (Texas State Board of Examiners of Psychologists)

  • American Heart Association CPR certification

  • Board certification preferred, but not required
