Job Description
MedAdventures is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist to join our team at our Mountainside, NJ Location. The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care and possess expertise in various areas.
DETAILS:
- Schedule: 5 days a week
- MWF: 8 to 4.30
- T/Th 11-7.30
- Job Types: Full-time, Contract
- Pay: $45.00 - $55.00 per hour
- Currently two FTEs and one per diem to cover two evenings a week.
- Patient volume includes 2 patients per hour with occasional double books.
- Patient population includes orthopedics, some balance patients.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Evaluates patients; interprets evaluation findings to determine the nature and extent of dysfunction.
- Establishes treatment goals and plans treatment to achieve established goals.
- Implements the treatment program through direct treatment of the patient; coordinates with other health care personnel as appropriate.
- Provides advice and education to patient and family.
- Regularly assesses clinical signs and symptoms to determine effectiveness of treatment, progress of patient toward goals, and need for modifying goals and treatment.
- Initiates discharge planning when patient has received maximum benefit from therapy.
- Provides accurate, timely documentation of physical therapy patient management.
- Monitors and maintains essential patient care and safety during procedures; applies safety principles as identified by established policy.
- Participates in continuing education to continually improve skills and abilities and stay abreast of current technologies/practices.
- Maintains inventory of necessary supplies.
- Ensures compliance with legal issues including but not limited to patient confidentiality and risk management; ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Exhibits a high degree of courtesy, tact, and poise when interacting with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
- Adjusts to fluctuating peaks in patient flow, acuity, and other operational demands while maintaining quality.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's, Master's or Doctor's degree of an accredited physical therapy curriculum
- State physical therapy license
- Current CPR Certification
- Ability to understand and adhere to established policies, procedures, and protocols.
