We are seeking a compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our team at a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) in Milford, DE. In this role, you’ll work alongside physical therapists to help residents enhance their mobility, regain independence, and achieve their therapeutic goals.
We are seeking a compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our team at a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) in Milford, DE. In this role, you’ll work alongside physical therapists to help residents enhance their mobility, regain independence, and achieve their therapeutic goals.
Responsibilities:
- Carry out individualized treatment plans as directed by licensed Physical Therapists.
- Support residents with therapeutic exercises, functional mobility training, and other rehabilitation interventions.
- Monitor and document resident progress, making note of improvements or necessary adjustments.
- Communicate effectively with the healthcare team to ensure coordinated and effective care.
- Educate residents and families on at-home exercises and safety practices to support recovery.
- Maintain a safe and positive therapy environment.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) program.
- Active PTA license in Delaware or eligibility to obtain it.
- Experience in a skilled nursing facility (SNF) setting is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and a patient-focused approach.
- Team player with a commitment to high-quality care.
