Under Direct Supervision of Laboratory Manager and Laboratory Director the Phlebotomy Supervisor is responsible for specimen collection operations including venipuncture, culture collections, and specimen processing. The Phlebotomy Supervisor is directly responsible for training, scheduling, and day-to-day operations. The Phlebotomy Supervisor is a subject matter expert in knowledge and mastery of collection techniques, site selection, aseptic techniques, and processing steps.

The Phlebotomy Supervisor strives for superior performance by consistently providing a product or service to leadership and staff that is recognized as ultimately contributing to the patient and family experience. Recognizes and demonstrates understanding of patient and family centered care.

• High School Diploma Required
• Phlebotomy Training Required
• Three years recent phlebotomy experience (arterial, capillary, and venous).
• Demonstrated ability to handle responsibilities without direct supervision. Experience with Satellite operations and NIDA and NON-NIDA drug-screen collections.
• Must have valid Michigan Driver's License with good driving record.
