Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team. The OT will be responsible for evaluating, planning, and implementing comprehensive occupational therapy programs to help patients regain independence and improve their daily living skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' functional abilities, including physical, cognitive, and psychosocial aspects.
  2. Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure holistic patient care.
  3. Provide hands-on therapy interventions to improve patients' mobility, strength, coordination, and range of motion.
  4. Utilize adaptive equipment and assistive technology to maximize patients' independence in activities of daily living (ADLs).
  5. Educate patients and their families on therapeutic techniques, home exercise programs, and strategies for managing daily challenges.
  6. Document patient progress accurately and timely in accordance with regulatory standards and company policies.
  7. Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and facilitate discharge planning.
  8. Participate in ongoing professional development activities to stay abreast of current trends and evidence-based practices in occupational therapy.

Qualifications:

  1. Master's degree or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  2. Valid state licensure as an Occupational Therapist in Florida.
  3. Previous experience working in a clinical setting, preferably in rehabilitation or geriatrics.
  4. Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving skills.
  5. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  6. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  7. Commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care.
