Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Location: Tennessee

We are seeking a dedicated Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team in Tennessee. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced technologist to work with cutting-edge technology and play a crucial role in diagnosing and treating various medical conditions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and administering radiopharmaceuticals, as well as performing imaging procedures.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients and perform nuclear medicine imaging procedures.

  • Operate specialized imaging equipment, such as gamma cameras, to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.

  • Prepare and analyze images for physicians, assisting in the diagnosis and treatment of various medical conditions.

  • Monitor patient reactions and provide care during imaging procedures.

  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and radiation protection standards.

  • Maintain accurate records of procedures, doses, and patient information.

  • Assist with quality control, maintenance, and troubleshooting of nuclear medicine equipment.

  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal patient care.

Qualifications:

  • Certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB or ARRT-NM) required.

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Medicine or related field.

  • Previous experience in nuclear medicine preferred, but not required for entry-level candidates.

  • Strong understanding of radiopharmaceuticals, imaging techniques, and radiation safety.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to provide patient care in a compassionate manner.

  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
