Our state-of-the-art laboratory in Navajo county, Arizona, is dedicated to advancing science and improving lives through cutting-edge research and high-quality testing. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Laboratory Technician to join our dynamic team.

Position Overview:

The Laboratory Technician will play a crucial role in supporting our research and testing operations by performing various technical tasks, ensuring accurate and timely results. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in laboratory procedures, excellent attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and analyze samples using various laboratory equipment and techniques.
  • Conduct routine and specialized tests according to established protocols and procedures.
  • Document and interpret test results, and ensure data integrity and accuracy.
  • Maintain and calibrate laboratory instruments and equipment.
  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and adhere to safety guidelines.
  • Prepare and manage laboratory reagents, chemicals, and supplies.
  • Assist in the development and validation of new testing methods and protocols.
  • Collaborate with other team members and communicate findings to supervisors or researchers.
  • Participate in quality control and assurance activities to maintain compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to laboratory equipment or procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree in Laboratory Technology, Biology, Chemistry, or a related field; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Previous experience working in a laboratory setting is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with laboratory equipment, techniques, and safety procedures.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Proficiency in data entry and laboratory information management systems (LIMS) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards (e.g., OSHA, GLP, CLIA) is an advantage.
