Clinical Laboratory Scientist / Medical Technologist

We are seeking a dedicated Clinical Laboratory Scientist / Medical Technologist to join our team in Bronx, NY. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled laboratory professional to contribute to a fast-paced healthcare environment, performing critical lab tests and supporting patient care.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform a variety of laboratory tests, including hematology, microbiology, chemistry, and blood banking.

• Analyze test results and communicate findings to physicians and other healthcare professionals.

• Ensure the accuracy of results through regular quality control checks and instrument calibration.

• Maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring all equipment is functioning properly and safely.

• Prepare and process specimens for testing, following proper protocols and documentation.

• Adhere to safety, infection control, and HIPAA guidelines to maintain a safe and secure laboratory environment.

• Assist in the development and implementation of laboratory policies and procedures.

• Participate in continuing education to stay current with industry trends and best practices.

Qualifications:

• Certification as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) or Medical Technologist (MT) required.

• Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Laboratory Science or a related field.

• Valid New York State licensure as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist.

• Previous laboratory experience preferred but not required for entry-level candidates.

• Strong understanding of laboratory testing and diagnostic procedures.

• Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
