Medical Lab Scientist/Technologist OR Medical Lab Technician (Various Departments)

Location: Nashville, TN

We are currently seeking a Medical Lab Scientist/Technologist (MLS/MLT) or Medical Lab Technician (MLT) to join our team in Nashville, TN. This is a fantastic opportunity for professionals seeking to contribute to patient care in a dynamic and growing healthcare setting. We have openings in various departments, and we are looking for individuals passionate about working in a clinical lab environment.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform diagnostic tests in one or more of the following departments: hematology, microbiology, blood bank, chemistry, or clinical pathology.

  • Analyze and interpret test results, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in reporting.

  • Prepare and process specimens in accordance with laboratory protocols and guidelines.

  • Maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring proper functioning and conducting routine maintenance and calibration.

  • Follow safety and infection control protocols to ensure a safe and clean environment.

  • Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.

  • Participate in quality assurance and process improvement initiatives to ensure lab operations meet the highest standards.

  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure accurate test results are communicated effectively.

Qualifications:

  • For MLS/MT: Certification as a Medical Lab Scientist (MLS) or Medical Technologist (MT) required.

  • For MLT: Certification as a Medical Lab Technician (MLT) required.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science or a related field for MLS/MT or Associate’s degree for MLT.

  • Valid state licensure where applicable.

  • Previous laboratory experience preferred but not required for entry-level candidates.

  • Strong knowledge of laboratory testing procedures, quality control, and safety standards.

  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with healthcare teams and patients.
