Position: FT Night Supervisor, Laboratory (formerly Team Coordinator) - Core Lab

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Night Supervisor for the Core Lab. In this leadership role, you will supervise laboratory staff during night shifts, ensuring quality control, workflow management, and exceptional patient care.

Shift and Status:

  • Full-Time, Night Shift

  • Competitive pay range: $34.47 - $53.25 per hour

Position Summary:

The Night Supervisor for the Core Lab is responsible for overseeing laboratory operations during the night shift. This includes supervising laboratory personnel, ensuring compliance with quality standards, managing workflow, and troubleshooting technical issues. The role also involves coordination with other departments to ensure seamless patient care and laboratory results.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supervise laboratory staff and ensure the quality and accuracy of laboratory tests and results.

  • Manage night shift operations in the Core Lab, including staffing, workflow, and resource allocation.

  • Ensure laboratory procedures are followed in accordance with industry standards, regulations, and hospital policies.

  • Provide leadership and support to staff members, including guidance on problem-solving, training, and development.

  • Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and calibrated, troubleshooting any issues that arise.

  • Review test results and ensure timely and accurate reporting.

  • Maintain communication with other departments to ensure efficient and effective patient care and laboratory results.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or a related field.

  • ASCP or AMT certification required.

  • Previous laboratory supervisory experience is preferred.

  • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.

Physical Demands:

  • Position involves standing, sitting, and walking.

  • Occasional lifting of up to 10-20 pounds.
