Chemistry Medical Technologist/Medical Lab Technician
Location: East Providence, RI
Schedule: Full-Time | First Shift (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday)
Rotating Saturdays & Holidays
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Chemistry Tech to join our laboratory team in East Providence, RI. This role is responsible for performing clinical chemistry testing, analyzing specimens, and ensuring accurate and timely reporting of results. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in laboratory techniques and instrumentation and be committed to maintaining high-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform clinical chemistry tests on patient specimens following established protocols.
- Operate and maintain automated chemistry analyzers and laboratory equipment.
- Review, verify, and report accurate test results to healthcare providers.
- Ensure compliance with CLIA, CAP, and hospital laboratory policies.
- Participate in quality control and assurance programs.
- Assist with laboratory maintenance, reagent preparation, and troubleshooting.
Qualifications:
- Required: Associate’s or Bachelor's Degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Chemistry, or a related field.
- Preferred: Certification as MLS(ASCP), MLT(ASCP), or equivalent.
- Preferred: 1+ year of experience in clinical chemistry testing.
