Job Title: Laboratory Medical Technologist (Full-Time)
Location: Bullhead City, AZ
Salary Range: $70,720 - $85,000 per year
Signing Bonus: $15,000 sign-on bonus for a 3-year commitment
Shift: Nights - 10-12 hours per shift

Position Summary:

As a Laboratory Medical Technologist, you will play a key role in performing diagnostic testing on patient samples to assist physicians in diagnosing and monitoring various disease states. You will ensure the accuracy of test results, maintain laboratory equipment, and work collaboratively with the laboratory team to support patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform diagnostic testing on patient samples, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Prepare and analyze patient specimens, and report results in a timely manner.
  • Maintain laboratory instruments and ensure proper calibration and functionality.
  • Adhere to safety protocols, quality control measures, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain laboratory standards.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving issues with testing equipment.
  • Stay updated with the latest laboratory technologies and techniques.
  • Provide support and guidance to junior staff as needed.
  • Assist with administrative and clerical tasks as assigned by the Laboratory Director.

Qualifications:

  • Required Education & Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree in medical laboratory science or related fields (e.g., chemistry, biology, physical sciences).
    • Associate’s degree with documented chemistry and biology coursework that satisfies CLIA requirements for high-complexity testing personnel.
    • 1 year of experience as a Medical Technologist (MT).
    • BLS certification required upon hire.
    • Medical Laboratory Scientist certification (ASCP, AMT, HEW (MT), or equivalent) is required within one year of hire.
  • Preferred Qualifications:

    • 3 years' experience as a Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) in a clinical setting.

Additional Skills:

  • Knowledge of laboratory instruments and diagnostic equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills to work effectively with physicians, patients, and laboratory staff.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to laboratory testing.
