Job Title: Medical Technologist
Location: Tallahassee, FL
Shift: Day or Night Shift available

Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Medical Technologist to join our dynamic team in Tallahassee, FL. As a Medical Technologist, you will play a key role in providing high-quality laboratory services by performing a variety of laboratory tests and procedures. You will ensure accurate and reliable test results to assist in diagnosing and treating patients. Both day and night shift opportunities are available, providing flexibility for qualified applicants.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine and complex laboratory tests, including but not limited to hematology, chemistry, microbiology, immunology, and blood banking.
  • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment to ensure accuracy and functionality.
  • Prepare and analyze specimens, ensuring proper handling, processing, and storage of samples.
  • Interpret and evaluate test results, recognizing abnormalities and alerting medical staff to critical findings.
  • Follow established laboratory procedures, safety protocols, and quality control guidelines to maintain accuracy and ensure the integrity of test results.
  • Document and maintain accurate records of tests, results, and quality control processes.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers to communicate results and offer insights for patient care.
  • Maintain a clean and organized laboratory workspace, ensuring all supplies are stocked and equipment is in good working order.
  • Stay current with industry standards, regulations, and advances in medical technology.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related field.
  • National certification as a Medical Technologist (MT) from ASCP, AMT, or equivalent certification body.
  • Valid Florida state licensure as a Medical Technologist (if required).
  • Previous experience in a clinical laboratory setting is preferred but not required.
  • Strong knowledge of laboratory techniques, instrumentation, and safety procedures.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
