This role provides an opportunity to work in a scenic area known for its beautiful surroundings and outdoor recreation. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will play a key role in supporting patient care by utilizing cutting-edge imaging technology and radiopharmaceuticals to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning.

Job Responsibilities of the Nuclear Med Tech:

  • Perform diagnostic medical imaging procedures using radiopharmaceuticals and medical imaging equipment.
  • Follow departmental protocols to provide accurate diagnostic images for physician review and treatment planning.
  • Ensure strict adherence to radiation safety standards and proper disposal of radioactive agents in accordance with Federal, State, and Hospital policies.
  • Document daily calibrations, flood films, dose calibrator accuracy checks, and hot lab area surveys as required.
  • Safely handle radiopharmaceuticals and follow radiation safety procedures at all times.
  • Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals as prescribed by the physician, following established protocols.
  • Conduct periodic quality control tests and maintain detailed documentation according to hospital policies.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to the core values of integrity, excellence, and collaboration within the healthcare setting.

Minimum Job Requirements for the Nuclear Med Tech:

Education and Experience:

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology or an accepted and approved equivalent program.
  • Experience:
    • 1 year of experience in a clinical nuclear medicine setting is required.
    • 2 years of experience in a clinical radiology setting is preferred.

Licenses and Certifications:

  • Current State Licensure as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist is required.
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is required.
  • Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) is required.
