Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) to join our laboratory team in Sherwood, AR. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing laboratory tests, including microscopic analyses, and operating various laboratory instruments to provide accurate diagnostic information.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform and analyze laboratory tests across multiple disciplines, including hematology, coagulation, microbiology, chemistry, and molecular biology.
• Conduct microscopic examinations on all relevant specimens.
• Operate and maintain laboratory instruments, including:
  • Hematology: Sysmex
  • Coagulation: CA620 system
  • Microbiology: Vitek2
  • Chemistry: Roche Cobas
  • Molecular: New machine coming soon
• Ensure compliance with quality control and regulatory standards.
• Document and report test results accurately and in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to discuss test results and contribute to patient care.
• Adhere to safety protocols and laboratory procedures.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or a related field for MT; Associate’s degree for MLT.
• Certification as a Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) by ASCP or equivalent.
• Experience in high-complexity testing preferred.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with laboratory instruments listed above.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Willingness to participate in continuing education and training opportunities.
