Chief Nuclear Med Tech

The ideal candidate will have expertise in nuclear cardiology and will assume clinical supervisory and teaching responsibilities, while also acting as Assistant Radiation Safety Officer.

We are seeking a Chief Nuclear Med Tech who is proficient in hospital imaging procedures using analog and digital computers, as well as radiopharmaceutical preparation. The ideal candidate will have expertise in nuclear cardiology and will assume clinical supervisory and teaching responsibilities, while also acting as Assistant Radiation Safety Officer.

Job Responsibilities of the Chief Nuclear Med Tech:

• Perform cardiac imaging and other responsibilities, including:
• Administering radiopharmaceuticals
• Explaining procedures and safety precautions
• Monitoring patients
• Operating imaging equipment
• Maintaining equipment
• Following safety procedures

Minimum Requirements for the Chief Nuclear Med Tech:

• Completion of Nuclear Medicine program with ARRT or NMTCB certification.
• Four (4) years experience in clinical nuclear medicine technology.
• Four (4) years experience in nuclear medical cardiology technology.
• State of California certification in Nuclear Medicine Technology required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required and must be maintained.
