Job Description

This state-of-the-art laboratory is seeking a permanent, full-time Lab Supervisor for the day shift. Equipped with the latest medical and information system technology, this lab has an extensive menu of over 1,500 tests and test combinations. The Technical Supervisor, under the direction of the Chemistry or Hematology Manager, serves as a member of the leadership team with oversight of the day to day operations of the Chemistry or Hematology Departments (Gen Lab).

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Staffing according to workload
  • Developing and implementing continuous process improvement projects
  • Interfacing with hospital administration and the two independent pathology practices
  • Providing supervision and support to the Chemistry or Hematology staff
  • Expected to serve as a liaison (when needed) between staff and the senior management staff
