Medical Surgical Manager

Our client located in Coastal California is seeking a RN Manager to oversee Medical Surgical and Care Coordination Departments within a Critical Access Hospital.

BSN is preferred. Board certified in either critical care or medical surgical nursing through ANCC preferred.

2+ years of nursing experience within the medical surgical units with knowledge of legal aspects of nursing.

They are offering a generous compensation package starting at $130K to $170K+/year.

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for the management of the Medical Surgical and Care Coordination Departments. Has 24-hour accountability for the management of patient care, personnel, fiscal and material resources. Coordinates the scheduling of department staff according to patient acuity; maintains and monitors staffing records and statistics. Supervises and leads assigned personnel in day-to-day operation of the department. Reports directly to the Chief Nursing Officer. Utilizes the nursing process and the Five Pillars as a foundation for all work activities: Stewardship, Quality, Service, People and Growth.

MUST-HAVE

*BSN is preferred.

*Board certified in either critical care or medical surgical nursing through ANCC preferred.

*2+ years of nursing experience within the medical surgical units with knowledge of legal aspects of nursing.
