We are seeking a skilled Histology Tech / Histotechnologist / Histologist / Histotech to join our team in Nashville, TN. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for laboratory science to work in a dynamic healthcare environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing tissue samples for microscopic examination, playing a critical role in patient diagnosis.

Job Responsibilities:

• Prepare and process tissue specimens for histological analysis.

• Perform tissue embedding, sectioning, and staining procedures.

• Ensure proper labeling and handling of specimens to maintain integrity and accuracy.

• Operate and maintain histology equipment, including microtomes and tissue processors.

• Collaborate with pathologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure timely and accurate results.

• Maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment.

• Follow quality control and safety procedures to ensure compliance with regulations.

• Keep up-to-date with new histology techniques and technologies.

Qualifications:

• Certification as a Histotechnologist (HTL) or Histology Technician (HT) through ASCP (or equivalent).

• Associate's degree in Histologic Technology, Biological Science, or related field; Bachelor's degree preferred.

• Previous experience in a histology lab setting is preferred but not required for entry-level applicants.

• Strong attention to detail and excellent manual dexterity.

• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and handle multiple tasks.

• Knowledge of laboratory safety procedures and practices.
