Grossing Technician (Direct Hire) – Full-Time – $42-$48/hr

Schedule: Full-Time (Flexible Shifts Available)

About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Grossing Technician to join our pathology laboratory in Westbury, NY. This direct-hire opportunity offers competitive pay ($42-$48/hr), full benefits, and a supportive team environment. What You’ll Do:

• Perform gross examination and sectioning of surgical pathology specimens independently
• Accurately describe and document specimen characteristics for processing
• Prepare tissue samples for histological examination
• Maintain compliance with laboratory safety protocols and regulatory standards
• Collaborate with pathologists and laboratory staff to ensure efficient workflow
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment
• Accurately enter patient and specimen data into the laboratory information system (LIS)

What We’re Looking For:

Required: New York State Clinical Laboratory License (Technician or Technologist level)
Required: Minimum of 1 year of grossing experience in a pathology lab
Preferred: ASCP Certification (HT or HTL)
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow standard operating procedures
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
