Job Description

We're seeking an experienced Ultrasound Sonographer to join a top-ranked TX hospital on a travel or permanent basis!

This is an incredible opportunity to expand upon your skills in a fast-paced, state-of-the-art environment.

You will have the option to "try before you buy". With so many healthcare professionals seeking better work environments, starting as a traveler allows you to get to know the culture, workload, and department before you lock yourself in on a permanent basis.

Of course, they will also consider candidates who would only provide permanent coverage if that's your preference.

Job Summary:

  • As a medical sonographer, you will perform sonographic imaging procedures for patients of all ages while working along-side world-renowned physicians. You will take the initiative as a diagnostic sonographer to confirm the imaging orders for completeness and accuracy while working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Perform color duplex imaging procedures to include carotid, extremity venous and arterial studies, abdominal Doppler, small parts, OB/GYN, general abdominal/body or other tests as assigned. Perform non-invasive imaging evaluation of arteries and veins by Doppler and plethysmography techniques. Verify the requisition/chart for valid written order, priority date, ordering comments, physician’s notes, precautions and patient consent forms.

Job Requirements:

  • Associates Degree in Ultrasound Technology or Graduate or Accredited Sonography Program
  • American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS), Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT)*, and BLS/CPR by the American Heart Associate for Healthcare (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC), required
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Two (2) years’ experience in ultrasound, preferred*
  • In the event that a sonographer is hired without RVT certification, they must obtain RVT certification within 6 months of hire date or can be terminated from their position

Excellent compensation is available for this role, as well as incredible benefits should you elect to work there on a permanent basis.

If you would like to learn more about this great opportunity or others like it, please apply today! This position is looking to hire someone as soon as possible!
